The variable injection timing kit is an attachment to any Single Cylinder Diesel engine for varying the injection timing, the VIT kit is supplied complete with all components of a CRDI system, the heart of the system being the electronic injection controller (EIC).           
Variable Injection Timing Kit consists of:-

  1. Low pressure System
  2. High Pressure System
  3. Electronic Control Unit
  4. Crank shaft position sensor

Exhaust Gas Recirculation System

The EGR system is designed to reduce the amount of oxides of nitrogen(Nox) created by the engine during operating periods that usually results in high combustion temperatures, NOx is formed in high concentrations whenever combustion temperature exceed about 2500˚F.

The EGR system reduces NOx production by recirculation small amount of exhaust gases into the intake manifold where it mixes with the incoming air. By diluting the air mixture under these conditions, peak combustion temperature and pressure are reduced, resulting in an overall reduction of NOx output. Provision is been made to change the percentage of EGR.

LPG Manifold Injection Kit

The LPG injection kit is suitable for any single cylinder engine. The LPG is injected in the manifold of the engine intake. The Electronic Control unit of a standard after market LPG Kit cannot be adopted for use in research engine, because of the fact that in a standard LPG kit the injection start angle and the duration of injection are results of preprogrammed value from multidimensional maps in the ECU.

While a part of the research requirement it self is finding the optimal Map values at conditions/variable as desired by the researcher.

Hence we provide an open loop Electronic Control Unit (OPECU) where the user can decide the injection start angle and the injection duration.

This Electronic Control Unit is designed, programmed and tested in our company and are not available in general market/not for open market. Our Electronic Control Unit is only sold to high end research users.

Turbo Air Charging System

The purpose of turbo charging is used for forced-induction of an internal combustion engine and to increase the density of air entering the engine to create more power.

The system consists of a 3HP turbine blower connected with a variable Speed AC frequency drive. The outlet of the turbine blower is routed to the intake manifold of the engine via a digital manometer, valve (V2), Bypass connector Air cooling system and finally to the engine intake manifold. A temperature sensor is also provided in the engine manifold to know the temperature of incoming air to the engine.

Before using the turbo air charging system to the engine, the engines air consumption at different loads should be MAPPED. Whenever a turbo air charging system is not required Valve(V2) should be closed and valve (V1) should be in open condition.

Engine Combustion Analysis Kit

The Engine Combustion Analysis kit is a device designed for measuring, processing and transferring engine test data to any computer, such data is primarily intended for educational and research use. It consists of Data Acquisition module; Sensors for IC engine Combustion Studies, Sensor mounting accessories, Windows based computer software and Inter connecting cables, facilitating it to be readily installed on your existing petrol or diesel engines.

Systems Capabilities
To Calculate PV and P-θ diagrams, Mass Fraction Burnt Angle, Estimated End of Combustion Angle (EEOC), Gross IMEP, Maximum Heat Release Rate, Maximum Heat Release rate crank angle, Maximum pressure rise rate, Maximum pressure rise rate crank angle, Maximum pressure, Maximum pressure crank angle, Start of Combustion, Total heat release, Ignition delay, ignition duration can be studied.

This equipment shows how a flat plate solar energy collector works. It allows students to measure and find the efficiency and heat losses of a flat plate solar energy collector. The Flat Plate Solar Energy Collector is similar to those used for heating swimming pools and domestic hot water.

Computerized Fuel Injection System Trainer kit

These trainers are designed to train Engineers/technicians in the operation, theory, diagnostics and troubleshooting of fuel injection systems.  Fuel injection systems have become a common feature in vehicles as they can deliver more power while reducing fuel consumption and pollution. However, they are much more sophisticated than equivalent carburetor systems therefore they require a special expertise when diagnosing them.

Optical Research Engine – Single Cylinder Four Stroke Diesel

There are several different ways of visually accessing the combustion chamber in an internal combustion engine. Optical access is provided through a 20-30mm length fused silica liner and a sapphire window in the piston crown. An extended piston allows a 45° mirror to be located between the upper and lower piston crowns allowing illumination or viewing into the cylinder from below. A maximum engine speed of 1000 rpm can be achieved through the use of light weight materials for the piston components and the use of primary and secondary balance shafts in the crankcase. The piston is manufactured from aluminum while the piston crown is made from titanium, chosen due to the similarity in thermal expansivity between titaniumand sapphire.
